Careers Information

Jeremiah 29:11 -For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, ... to give you a future and hope

Proverbs 15:22 -Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed

At the Campion school we recognise that good quality careers education will raise the aspirations of all young people.

The Campion School Careers Education Programme provides our pupils with the opportunity to plan and manage their careers effectively, ensuring progression which is ambitious and aspirational. It promotes equality of opportunity, celebrates diversity and challenges stereotypes. It is designed to meet the Gatsby benchmarks and conforms to statutory requirements.

Aim
We aim to support pupils to make realistic and informed decisions about their future, by raising aspirations and providing impartial and independent information and guidance.

Objectives:

To ensure:

  • Careers is the heart of education and leadership at our school
  • There is inclusion and impact for each and every young person to support them in knowing what opportunities are available to them and how to best identify and use their talents
  • We offer meaningful and varied encounters and experiences and work experience opportunities
  • We focus on the use of information and data
  • We engage parents, carers, alumni and the local community
  • Our students experience a culture of high aspirations, equality of opportunity, in which diversity is celebrated and stereotypes are challenged
