On Friday 29th November 2024, we celebrated our School’s feast day.
The day commenced with a whole School Mass in the Jubilee Hall, led by Canon John Harvey, Dean of Brentwood Cathedral, alongside members of the local clergy including past pupils. A separate mass was also held in the Main Hall led by Fr Dominic for Year 11. The Homily, delivered by Fr Paul Keane, Chaplain to the University of Cambridge, emphasised a message of sacrifice and faith in God shown by our Patron Saint. Several members of staff and clergy noticed the excellent reverence and prayerfulness of all the students in both services.
This message of sacrifice was then personified as the focus shifted to the infamous Campion Day run. It was a chilly afternoon over at Pages Wood. Year 11 kicked things off, followed by the entirety of lower school, Sixth Form as well as two local primary schools. Not to mention multiple teachers taking part as well. All the students and teachers showed great commitment to complete the race on a positive afternoon where the Campion virtues were on full display to the parents, friends, alumni and general public present.
The top 3 of each year group were:
1st = George W
2nd = William F

“The expense is reckoned; the enterprise is begun; it is of God; it cannot be withstood. So, the faith was planted, so it must be restored.”
