Information for Parents

Parent Portal

The portal is managed between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm each week-day.  We will aim to respond to your messages within 48 to 72 hours.  However this may be longer if messages are sent over the week-end or during holiday time.


Parental Awareness Evening

The School recently hosted an evening to raise awareness about gang culture, social media, and substance abuse. Slides from the evening can be found here.

Where possible, parents should report absences via the Edulink One App.

Bus Numbers within Havering

TRAIN ROUTES INTO CAMPION SCHOOL

Billericay to Harold Wood

Then walk or get the 294 bus to the Ardleigh Green School and walk up Cecil Avenue, turn right onto Arterial Road. Walk along to school on the right.

Ingatestone to Harold Wood

Then walk or get the 294 bus to the Ardleigh Green School and walk up Cecil Avenue, turn right onto Arterial Road. Walk along to school on the right.

BUS ROUTES INTO CAMPION SCHOOL

  • 498 from Brentwood into Gallows Corner. Walk up the pavement onto the Arterial Road. Cross at the footbridge over the railway then walk along to school on the right.
  • 294 from Romford to The Ardleigh, Ardleigh Green, bottom of Cecil Avenue. Walk up Cecil Avenue turn right onto Arterial Road. Walk along to school on the right.
  • 248 from Upminster to Wingletye Lane. Catch 193 Hoppa opposite Sixth Form College to Essex Gardens and walk to school along Wingletye Lane.
  • Boys using underground alight at Hornchurch Station and catch 193 Hoppa.
  • There are two 649’s from Romford in the morning and three leave the playground in the evening with an extra bus at 4.00 pm.

  • Parkstone Avenue, Wingletye Lane: 0827

  • Wingletye Lane, Campion School: 1545

The 649 bus will depart from the school car park as soon as pupils have boarded.


Free School Meals, 16-19 Bursary and Online Payments

If you wish to make a payment for a trip, top up your child's cashless catering account or make another form of payment, please visit SCOPAY.

You can also find out more about the free meals available for students in particular cases and the bursary made available for some students between the ages of 16 and 19.

The school's preferred provider of school uniform is Havering Schoolwear, 160-162 Hornchurch Rd, Hornchurch RM11 1QH

Safeguarding Students

Please do not leave school if you have any safeguarding concerns about a child without speaking to The Campion School’s designated safeguarding lead - Mr Lapena. In his absence - Mr Larner, Mr Pearn, Miss Giesen or Mrs Johnson. In their absence you can refer your concern directly to the Deputy Head - Mr Tisi.

If all members of staff are absent you can refer your concern to Children’s Social Services on 01708 433222 or out of hours 01708 433999. You can refer concerns about a member of staff to the Headmaster on 01708 452332 or the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) on 01708 431653.
